The La Marque Visual Arts Program is a vibrant part of the Cougar tradition. Students showcase their talents throughout the year at contest, in the classroom, and throughout the community. Students receive state and national recognition. Students participate at VASE, the Houston Livestock & Rodeo Show Art Contest, the Congressional Art Competition, YAM, the Texas City Fine Arts Festival, and many other standards based contests and competitions . Fine arts instruction begins in the Early Childhood and elementary schools, is TEKS based, and is enriched with math, science, ELA, social studies, and technology.
