The La Marque High School 2026 Homecoming Parade rolls through town on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. Come out, line the parade route and show your Cougar pride! 🐾🎉
📣 Want to be in the parade? Parade entrants will begin lining up at 5 p.m. at Hayley Elementary School, 1431 Bayou Road. All participants must complete the parade application by noon on Sept. 28.

A special thank you to Commissioner Dr. Robin Armstrong for placing the recognition on the Commissioners Court agenda and helping shine a light on the accomplishments of La Marque High School. 👏
The Commissioners Court presented a proclamation honoring La Marque High School, and State Rep. Terri Leo Wilson also presented a proclamation recognizing this outstanding achievement.

On Patriot Day, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and recognize the extraordinary courage and sacrifice shown by first responders and ordinary citizens on that day and in the days that followed.
September 11 is also Texas First Responders Day, giving us another opportunity to thank the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals and other first responders who serve our communities every day.
TCISD remembers those we lost, honors those who serve and expresses our gratitude to the first responders who stand ready when we need them most. #NeverForget

At last night’s Board meeting, we had the opportunity to recognize some outstanding accomplishments from across TCISD!
Texas City High School Marine Corps JROTC made school history by being named a 2026 Naval Honor School, an honor reserved for the top 20% of Marine Corps JROTC programs.
We also celebrated 32 students from Texas City High School and La Marque High School who earned one or more distinctions through the College Board National Recognition Program for their outstanding academic achievement.
Congratulations to our students, cadets and educators on these well-deserved honors! We are proud to see your hard work recognized. 👏

💇♀️✂️ La Marque High School Cosmetology and Barbering students got a behind-the-scenes look at the professional salon industry during a visit to Farouk Systems today.
Students experienced firsthand what goes into creating many of the products and tools used every day in salons. They saw how bottles are manufactured, learned about the chemical processes behind styling products and watched assembly lines in action as products were packaged and labeled.
The visit also gave students a closer look at Farouk’s commitment to quality and safety, including products and tools that are not tested on animals, as well as the educational resources the company provides to beauty professionals.
Experiences like this take learning beyond the classroom and salon, helping students see the science, manufacturing, innovation and career opportunities that are all part of this industry.

TCISD has been closely monitoring the weather and consulting with weather experts. At this time, we are not expecting severe weather beyond normal rainfall, and school will operate on a normal schedule on Sept. 1.

Now in its fourth year, our Early College High School program is reaching an exciting first: seniors from La Marque High School and Texas City High School are taking classes on the College of the Mainland campus during the school day this year.
Even more exciting, 37 seniors from our two high schools are on track to earn their associate degree while completing their high school diploma!
These students are experiencing college firsthand, earning valuable credits and getting a head start on their future, all before they walk across the stage at high school graduation.
We are proud of how far this program has come and even more proud of the students who are making the most of this incredible opportunity! 🎓📚
